Elle étudie au Birmingham Conservatoire avec Philippe Graffin, Peter Thomas (CBSO), David Angel (Quatuor à cordes Maggini) et Rohan de Sarum (Quatuor à cordes Arditti). Elle obtient sa licence avec les honneurs et le Master 1. Sa curiosité qui tend à la fascination pour les timbres nouveaux au violon la mène sur le chemin de l’Ensemble Multilaterale, Ensemble Alma Viva (avec Pablo Marquez) et Ars Nova.
Ayant étudié avec Juan José Mosalini et Gustavo Beytelmann, Caroline évolue depuis 2003 dans le milieu du tango argentin avec des groupes divers comme Daniel Melingo (Nice Jazz Festival, Le Printemps de Bourges, Oslo World Music Festival, Radio Latina, France Inter), Mala Pinta (Classic FM, Royal Albert Hall, Paradiso Rock Palace), Septeto La Academia (Festival Ile de France, Zurich Tango Festival), le Grand Orchestre de Juan Jose Mosalini, Ensemble Montreal Tango, Quinteto El Despues, Gustavo Gancedo, William Sabatier, Tango Orquesta Imperial, Les Fleurs Noires, Orquesta Silbando, La Chicana, Linea Tigre, Amelitar Baltar. C’est avec ces différentes formations qu’elle est amenée à se produire dans de multiples pays : Maroc, Algerie, Allemagne, Espagne, France, Belgique, Suisse, Pays Bas, Suède, Norvège, Angleterre, Argentine, Ecosse…
En 2006 elle gagne une bourse du Stephen Arlen Memorial Award pour aller à Buenos Aires au Festival International du Tango, où elle prend des cours avec de célèbres violonistes de tango comme Pablo Agri, Ramiro Gallo, Leonardo Ferreira et Mauricio Marcelli. Elle est très inspirée par leurs idées musicales et le rythme de la vie dans la grande capitale.
Ayant toujours un amour profond pour le quatuor à cordes, elle crée le groupe Firebyrd String Quartet en 2008, afin de rechercher des sonorités plus rythmiques et des arrangements possibles entre percussions et cordes. Avec ce quatuor elle joue du tango, du folk et du funk, et réalise un enregistrement de Mike Ibrahim pour Polydor Records. Ils ont aussi collaboré avec la chanteuse de jazz, Victoria Rummler. Elle fonde également The London Tango Orchestra en 2009, le premier orchestre typique de tango en Angleterre et avec qui elle a participé dans une documentaire autour du tango pour le BBC en 2012.
En 2011 elle obtient un Master en Musique (Ethnomusicologie) de la Royal Holloway University de Londres.
Elle poursuit son intérêt dans la musique du monde et improvisation avec Tangoleon Géant et elle a crée son site web www.tangoviolin.com pour sa recherche et partitions autour du tango. Elle a aussi travaillé comme figurant dans le film « Au Bout de Conte » de Agnés Jaoui 2013.

Caroline studied at the Birmingham Conservatoire with Philippe Graffin, Peter Thomas (CBSO), David Angel (Maggini Quartet) and Rohan de Sarum (Arditti Quartet). She received her BMus(Hons) degree and a Postgraduate Diploma. Her curiosity and fascination with new timbres and techniques on the violin led her to working with the contemporary music groups Ensemble Multilaterale, Ensemble Alma Viva (with guitarist Pablo Marquez) and Ars Nova.
Having studied with Juan José Mosalini at the Conservatoire of Gennevilliers and Gustavo Beytelmann at Codarts in Rotterdam after winning a Leverhulme Trust Scholarship, Caroline has worked in the Argentinean tango milieu since 2003. She has performed with numerous groups including Daniel Melingo (Nice Jazz Festival, Le Printemps de Bourges, Oslo World Music Festival, Radio Latina, Radio Inter), Mala Pinta (Classic FM Radio, Royal Albert Hall Café, Paradiso Rock Palace), Septeto La Academia (Festival Ile de France, Zurich Tango Festival), the Grand Orchestra of Juan José Mosalini, Ensemble Montreal Tango, Quinteto El Despues, Gustavo Gancedo, William Sabatier, Tango Orquesta Imperial, Les Fleurs Noires, Orquesta Silbando,La Chicana, Linea Tigre, Amelitar Baltar, Tango Siempre. With these different formations she has been on tour in many countries: Morocco, Algeria, Germany, Spain, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Holland, Sweden, Norway, England, Scotland, Denmark, Argentina…
In 2006 she won a bursary from the Stephen Arlen Memorial Award to go to Buenos Aires to the International Tango Festival, where she took lessons with famous tango violinists like Pablo Agri, Ramiro Gallo, Leonardo Ferreira and Mauricio Marcelli. She was very inspired by their musical ideas and the rhythm of life in the big capital.
Having always had a profound love for string quartets, she created the group The Firebyrd String Quartet in 2008 in order to search for new rhythmic sonorities and to write arrangements that explore the relationship between string instruments and more percussive playing. With this quartet she plays tango, folk, funk and some jazz with the singer Victoria Rummler. The group has also recorded for Polydor Records. In 2009 she founded the London Tango Orchestra, the first traditional orquesta tipica in the UK, with whom she took part in a BBC documentary about tango music in 2012. They have performed at various festivals in the UK and given workshops at Oxford University.
She received a Masters in Ethnomusicology from the Royal Holloway University of London in 2011.
She currently continues her interest in classical chamber music with the Firebyrds and in world music and improvisation with Serpientes https://serpientes.me/
in 2014 she won a Winston Churchill Memorial Award to do some research on tango violin in Buenos Aires for 3 months. She has made a website for her tango research and arrangements at www.tangoviolin.com, and hope to complete a book about this in 2021.
In 2017 she created the Caminito Orchestra Escuela in London which teaches amateur and semi-pro musicians how to play tango music from the Golden Era plus some Piazzolla.
